About the Author…
Bella Castillo is a creative artist, poet, author, Human Resources professional, community organizer, and entrepreneur. She creates works of art to support social justice activists worldwide and helps organizations generate revenue through art auctions. Motivated by the global lack of access to affordable, culturally relevant art, Bella is committed to introducing our youth to the arts and creating professional development opportunities for emerging artists.
As a proud Guatemalan immigrant, Bella was raised by her courageous single mother. She became the first in her family to earn a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Southern California (USC) and an MBA from Pepperdine University.
In addition to her professional endeavors, Bella is deeply committed to community service. She volunteered with the Boys and Girls Club and Big Brothers Big Sisters. She has participated in humanitarian trips to Ecuador and Cuba, spreading love and delivering medical supplies to underserved communities.
La Opinión newspaper, Wells Fargo, the National Latina Business Women Association (NLBWA), TELACU, the United States Congress, and the California Legislature have recognized Bella's contributions and inspired others to follow her example.
